Theme Manager Status
Sunday, August 5, 2012 by Philly0381 | Discussion: Stardock Support General
Have a short and simple question for the Stardock folks.
I was wondering if there was any information available pretaining to an update for/to Theme Manager or if it will be moving into the nonsupported category?

Zu, I can't speak for beachbummer, but my answer to your question is everything.
More specifically, TM only loads a wallpaper and the windowblind, most times.
MyColors totally hosed my system, had to remove it. It does not play well with the current version of windowblinds, for starters. Had to reinstall that too.
Just trying to help....

I have quite a few paid MC themes I'd love to use, if only the windowblind part.

Yes, whatever happened to providing them as unencrypted?

MyColors was designed to run without any other Stardock products. And as it gets older (without updates) incompatibilities will only increase.
Hopefully will have some word on Wednesday.

I hope Zubaz comes back with some good news. This really is one of my favorite programs when it's working properly. Mostly I like being able to make my own themes. I'm crossing my fingers.

OK, Wizard, I'll try that with the Premium suites I have. Sorry about the delay. As far as what works, well in my case it won't change anything, just reverts to WB Classic. If Theme Manager will only change part of the theme then it defeats its own purpose - don't get me wrong, I love it, just wished it worked.

I got word that Theme Manager was going to get some bug fixes in the near future.

I got word that Theme Manager was going to get some bug fixes in the near future.
Well that would be nice to see. Unfortunately the word 'some' is of concern to me, but as one of those in the community that still try to use Theme Manager any fixes would be appreciated.
Thanks for the info Zubaz.

We ahve some issues we'd like to see addressed. Now is the time to bring up others and here is a good a place as any.
No promises.

One of the things I would like to see addressed is fixing Included Elements, when making a suite, to where they work. Currently you can not include Icons, or DX Widget and Gadgets and I believe Object Dock is another.
If the Included Elements could reflect the current WinCustomize Gallery Libraries such as including Xion, Rainlendar, Winstep Extreme and so on.
Of course Theme Manager being able to work from Windows XP forward would be great also.
Thanks again Zubaz.

Theme manager is not going to get any new features (including applications like Xion or even ObjectDock [not part of Object Desktop]).
When you say "icons" do you mean IconPackages?
XP is unlikely to get much if any love.

I think Philly means Icon Packager, Zubaz. I have him on Skype...he should be along shortly.

Yes IconPackages.
How about dropping some of the older programs then such as HoverDesk, BeatNick, ICQ Plus and such?

It would totally rock if Theme Manager could just be fixed so the the currently included features would work.
As is, it only applies thw blind and a wallpaper. And sometimes at best.

IconPackages are not applying at all?
Hmm . . need to test this.

Heck, I just feel pissed off that I can't use Premium themes (16) or MyColor themes (11) after forking out my hard-earned for them.
What is not working?
