Help!

Saturday, November 27, 2004 by gimpster1 | Discussion: Stardock Software

Hello!

I have a small irritating thing going on that i don't understand for the life of me. I have bought the entire package of the windowblinds package. Yet, when I boot up my computer, I still get this litte window asking me if I want to buy windowblinds. I've tried to ponder and maybe come up with a reason why. But its bigger then I... So? I thought you, the experts could help me with this little problem.

Sincerly and humbly. Gimpster (John Riddlebaugh)

Did you uninstall the free version before you installed the full version of Windowblinds? If not, you will have to uninstall and then install the full version through StardockCentral.

I can not remember if I did or not... I bought the package back in September. Can you tell me, if there is a way to find out wether I did or not uninstall the trial version?

OH! There is an oversight here.. I didn't remember to remind you all, that Since yesterday, or the day before, I had to do a full format and re-install... However. I did backup my stardock information. All skins, my registration information, and ETC. I can't remember all the rest of the things associated with Stardock.

Sorry for the oversight.

No worries Just make sure you installed the correct version (the full version and not the shareware version). The best thing would be to unistall the version you have loaded now. Then install Stardock Central, register Object Deskop online by clicking on "registration info" in the lower right corner of Stardock central. Then download and install the newest version of Windowblinds.

Note that you need to reregister first, otherwise you will only be able to download the shareware version!

Well my problem is NOT fixed. I had actually thought I found the problem but did not.. I just downloaded a new skin, and I got that same window-popup asking me if I want to purchase Windowblinds. What's up with that.??

Help please if you can. Thank's Gimpster

Just a question. DID you uninstall Windowblinds > reboot and then reinstall the registered Version through Stardock Central as suggested?

OK I can do that. However, What do I do to find the registered version of the sofware?

And thanks for responding.

Unistall the version you have loaded now and reboot your computer. Then install Stardock Central (https://www.stardock.com/products/sdcentral/), register Object Deskop online by clicking on "registration info" in the lower right corner of Stardock central an entering the registration information you have. Then download and install the newest version of Windowblinds from the Object Desktop tab on the left.
