Which is YOUR "most valued program"?
Is there one particular app that you can't live without in your daily skinning life?
Mine is "ACDSee", my image viewer, I can't imagine life without it!

I _hate_ Swiss army knife programs with a thousand and one functions. I want my file manager to be lean and mean, not packed and bloated with things I have other programs for. Yuck!

I used Powerdesk for a while, but found it too slow to open up (between 5 to 10 seconds). Sorry Jafo.

And besides, I really like Windows Explorer under XP. It does everything I'd want it to do.. ok, maybe ONE thing I wish it could do: double pane. But I just open two Explorers, so it's no huge loss really.

It's only the Quickview plugins that slow it down.....but you don't 'need' them...it's just one of the better bits of it, that's all...

For me, it's RealOne Player (on allllll the time), Photoshop 7, and Dreamweaver MX.
And on the mac: Well I guess it's not really a program, but I'd have to say the actual OS itself

The top proggies would be:
MOzilla
FoxMail
WB
PSP
Powerdesk
Object Bar
As far as a file manager I want an up to date version of the one that shipped with Windows 3.11 for workgroups it was fast, simple, had two panes and all the power you really need for quick file work...

How... did you find this thread. Never mind, mine is PSP7 - have PS5.5 but prefer the former.

I have no idea what to pick....... I need them all!
For those of you that wish Windows could have double panes, check out this site, and look for FolderBox. Check out OpenEdit also. They're both free for personal use. Wonderful little tools. http://www.baxbex.com/products.html
