CursorFx Stopped Running - Will Not Apply

HI
This is strange.
Cursor Fx suddenly stopped applying cursors and the "Default" Windows Cursor is no longer displayed ....
I also note that the program is not shown in the Task Mgr. will start manually but will not apply any cursor.
Have tried uninstalling (both from within Impulse and Revo Pro) to no avail...
Stummped.

I've had problems with CFX before but an uninstall with Revo set on moderate always worked for me. Did you allow it to remove everything it had highlighted? (back up your cursors first.)

Thanks for the reply but ...sheesh-
Reinstall, hand picking every CFX file, registry entry and Prefetch files all removed and continues to reinstall with no Windows Default Cursor-
This seems to be at the root of things.
Wehre does CFX draw the default windows cursor set from?
Will checjk settings in Control Panel section related to Cursor -
At any rate, thanks and if anypne knows why the default windows cursor remains missing after reinstallation of CFX and where I , or, how I might correct this, it would be appreciated.

To restore your native Windows cursors, simply open the cmd prompt from your start menu and right click on it > "Run as Administrator".
This will open a DOS screen.
After the prompt (blinking underline), type in as follows: sfc /scannow there is a space between sfc and /scannow but not after the /
That should fix it (give you back your native Windows cursor).

Are saying you can't apply the default Windows cursor? As far as displaying, it never has shown in CFX config for me, neither in the current theme preview or the select list. The cursor can be selected, there is just no image for it.

I've had issues with CursorFX (Free Version) also. I'm using Win 7 Home Premium and my work around so I don't have to de-install CursorFX is to use Win 7 to reset the cursor.
Just right click the Desktop and choose Personalize and on the left side is change mouse pointers. I reset it to Aero default and all is well.

Unfortunately, I have the same problem - the program opens but will not apply...? Any help?

Can you give more info? What OS? 64/32 bit. Free CFX or paid?
Did it work before and when did it stop?
Will the control panel show/select any previews or cursors?
If the control panel is frozen, one thing you can try is go to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\CursorFX and r-click on CursorFX Control Panel.exe. Select Properties/Compatibility Tab. Run in Compatibility mode for Vista (Service Pack 2). Hit Apply, then try launching CFX.

Have you recently downloaded a new cursor? I believe this has happened with older cursors or ones that are 'broken'. If you have downloaded a new cursor try uninstalling it and rebooting.
