User Pic Problem

Friday, May 21, 2004 by tigerlady | Discussion: Stardock Software

I want MY user pic to show up. The default is "allow skins to replace user icons". I've gone into User Overrides to try to change the default but nothing happens when I try to uncheck the box. Any help appreciated.

Using WindowsXP qand latest version of WindowBlinds.

There is now a settin in SkinStudio that allows a skinner to shutoff the user pic in their skins. If you have SkinStudio you can change it on any skin that doesn''t show the user pic.

Open the skin in SkinStudio, then in the "Explorer" tree, on the left go to Start Panel => User Pane. then in "Section" tree on the right you''ll see an option that says "Hide User Picture". change it from enabled to disabled.

Message edited because I got my left and right mixed up

Some skins are made to use the user pic and some skins do not use it. The ones that don't use it will normally look terrible if you change the setting in Skin Studio. I would just use a skin that shows the User pic, if you must have it.
