Nice skin lightstar. I'll wait to see the window frames but I hope you do something more original/new. I'm not trying to criticize you or anyone else, I just feel like I haven't seen a really unique windowblind in quite some time.
I've been using custom visual styles as opposed to windowblinds for that reason lately.

Just a thought - maybe mirror the blue gray of the upper part of the start menu on the upper-inner part of the lower start menu frame as a vertical gradient so it'll be grayer than the blue gray in the upper frame?

That looks good. You could even put a tad more gray in it...whatever. 
Leave it to the "Master" to make sense of my sub-n00b suggestion.

This is really good, Tom! It'll live a long time on my desktop for sure.
