Looking into it, do you have any IE extensions installed or any non default settings? Also, are you using IE 32 bit or the 64 bit version?

Turn off compatibility mode. Click the little cut in half page in the URL bar and reload the page. Worked for me when it was disabled, broke when I enabled it in the same way.

Compatibility mode in IE always seems weird to me, like there's some way it sets itself on pages.

Jim - Do you have Ghostery or any script blocking/AdBlocking extension on that browser? If so, maybe putting in an exception for WC might help.
