Need help with Object Dock
Tuesday, January 20, 2004 by Lady Aarielle | Discussion: Stardock Software
I have a couple of questions:
1. I am trying to change the icon for the calendar on OD and no matter what I try I can't. When I right click I get "Dock Item Properties" which is for appointments only. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong? I just started using OD so I'm not very familiar with it.
2. How do you add icons to 'Object Dock'? Do you just drag and drop? When I do that it works fine but when I delete it (the duplicate icon) from my desk top I get the following:
Windows cannot find..etc. Make sure you typed the name correctly and then try again. To search for a file click the start button, etc.. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong? I just started using OD so I'm not very familiar with it.

So that's the default icon (click on my name and see pic).... because there are several icons for the calendar...
Why would there be several if you don't have a choice?

For now forget about drag and drop...open OD Config and click create shortcut. Click on the new shortcut (question mark) and open dock properties. Browse to .exe file you want and use whatever icon you want and click OK.

This calendar gives you a choice of images: https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?library=29&SkinID=2065
I beleive this calendar will let you change it to any image in the object dock directory: https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?library=29&SkinID=2042

. You should do this to to change the calendars icon:-Right click the calendar icon
-A menu will popup, click on "dock item properties..."
-A dialog will popup, locate the button which says "skins" and click it
-A new dialog will popup. In the list choose the skin you want and click on the "Apply this skin" button.
- Click on OK, the skins-dialog will disappear and close the Appointments-dialog.
-That was all

When I right click I get: "Dock Item Properties" and when I click on that -- this is all I get there are no other options (look at my SS). I'm not sure if you can see the buttons.... but I don't see a "skins" button... and that's the only window that opens up.

you are running an older version from my Calendar docklet. There is a new version with has a "skin" button. You can download it here https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?library=29&SkinID=2065

Can't
drag and drop the .exe, not the desktop shortcut.
