Hey everybody!
1. DrJBHL, there are no connection between YoWindow for Windows and YoWindow for Facebook.
YoWindow Facebook Edition is a separate product.
http://apps.facebook.com/yowindow
By "looking out a friend's window" we meant that friends of a user on Facebook will be able to check the weather in the users location.
When YoWindow app for Facebook is added, the user has control over whether to disclose his/her location or not.
Again when you run YoWindow for desktop (screensaver) there is no "social access" to YoWindow from the Internet.
2.Try to reduce the height of .png image, removing the sky portion.
YoWindow will adjust sky height automatically filling up the screen as much as it could.
Don't forget to adjust the horizon line in YoWindow.
3. RickJp and Chasbo: very nice job with landscapes guys ![]()
Guys all of you are very welcome to our forum to share with your suggestions or bug reports - http://yowindow.com/forum

That's what I wished to know.
Why then would it need a separate app? Wouldn't just plugging in the friend' zip code be enough, or does your app have room for only one zip code at a time? Does the additional app just add another zip code?
I guess it was the way "looking out your friend's window" was phrased made me think there was some sort of 'remote access' going on.

Worked like a charm! Thanks! ![]()

Besides the Seaside landscape what else does the paid version give you?
Reply #33 Thursday, February 10, 2011 6:13 AM
What's inside?
- Full featured desktop weather station for Windows and Mac OS
- Real cloud coverage, rain/snow, fog, grass swings to the wind, Sun, Moon, even thunderstorms...
- You can scroll the time into the future!
- Turn any picture into YoWindow landscape or browse our collection
- Temperature in Windows taskbar - near the clock
- Surprises

Uvah are those not standard features? I can turn any picture into a landscape and scroll the time and I do not have the paid version.
Reply #35 Thursday, February 10, 2011 6:28 AM
I looked and didn't see any reference to a paid version. I posted what was on the page.
Reply #36 Thursday, February 10, 2011 6:33 AM
Yes there is an unlimited paid version. I will check the site out to see what the difference is.
OK this is it. With the free you get 3 days of weather forecast and with the paid you get 6-9. The free only gives you 2 favorite locations and the paid version is unlimited. You also get an extra village and the seaside landscape with the paid version.

Well blow me sideways. 6-9 days in advance as opposed to 3 plus unlimited favs. As if I would need more than one. I suppose its a good thing for those who want to do that but I'm kinda partial to just where I'm at. Good app though I think. I'm gonna give it a test run and see how much of the resources it eats up. I usually don't run screen savers at all. On my lappy you'd be surprised how much memory gets used. But that's probably due to all the stuff I run. Thanks for that. ![]()

It is also a stand alone app. and not just a screen saver. I kind of like this software.

I wonder how many more toys there are out there to play with. ![]()

repkin and crew have a good application here...it will catch on...Great work!
the app is still fairly new, thus the flags in Norton, just like with Stardock apps.
