No toolbar problem
Lost Planet Vista no Toolbar
Tuesday, November 30, 2010 by skinwin | Discussion: Stardock Support General

The above is a screenshot of my desktop using the Lost Planet theme by madcat21, on the bottom right corner, I can't see my system tray.

This is the regular Lost Planet theme without vista added, the taskbar is much fatter, and the start button doesn't show the whole thing.
How can I make the vista one show toolbars, or make the regular one show the whole start button? I was messing around with the settings before and I made the latter one work. But now it doesn't show for some reason.

Assuming you got your taskbar where you want it and buttons straightened out, you control your content in the tray section by adjusting your sizing margins, text settings and/or content margins (top/bottom), same as in the task button section. Since I'm flying blind as to your particular setup, what version of SKS you're using, etc., make adjustments to your tray section margins and/or text settings until you get it where you want it. T & E (Trial and Error) best way to learn....

No matter how I move it, I still don't see icons in my system tray. In the first screenshot you can see I have plenty of space, and I don't run much startup programs either. Could it be a glitch in the theme when I vista-ize it?

Possibly...I d/l the blind, the "out of the box" settings are correct and it works fine for me. Maybe you could pm the author about it... ![]()

Are the tray text margins (top and bottom) set to zero, or close to it? Sometimes if those text margins are too large, your icons will vanish.

Adjust your content margin settings (top and/or bottom....text settings in SKS7) in the task button section to resize your taskbar height. Play with it until you get it where you want it. Also, judging by how distorted the buttons look, you need to adjust your sizing margins. Make sure anything you don't want stretched, tiled, etc. are outside the sizing margin box.
