For Blender I use these links
http://www.blender.org/ for the software and support
Blender is the free open source 3D content creation suite, available under the GNU General Public License, it works most operating systems.
I have used 2.54 before.
a cursor FX idea I had a while back using Blender, Keyshot and PS for post work.
http://blenderartists.org/ is the Blender community site....mine are simple renders
The renders on blenderartist, by others will blow your mind. ![]()
btw 2.54 is a beta, you can get 2.49 the latest

Well blow me to pieces. I didn't know anyone used Blender. Most think it too hard to learn. What do you think about the blender Monkey? Needs a face lift I think. Oh...I do have the latest version. Just haven't used it much lately. Bit of a tough go with the UI. I got PS7 but I've not heard of Keyshot. Care to share?

Visited the link you provided and dl'd the UI tutorial and a .blend file, 6.4mb heavy. RX-8 Mazda. Headlights, interior and all that. Guess I got to start using it with all the toys to play with.

Recently Updated KeyShot 2.1 There is a download link and an overview video at the bottom of the page. The video I think, should be helpful.
I could never afford this software. Honestly, my brother has the different CAD software. I go to his place to use it (and occasionally mess up a project) Blender Monkey is a classic model...can't use blender without messin' with the monkey.

Bookmarked the page. Seems blender is growing in popularity. I dl'd the 2.5 cheatsheet. All those keyboard shortcuts. BTW ... Suzanne, the monkey, when I first saw it I thought WTF. He he ... little did i realize at the time she's used for demo purposes. I have the manual for 2.49 plus the CD. Damn thing cost me forty bucks. Worth it though. The clips of the movies they made are pretty awesome. Ever use Bryce? I got ver. 7 or TrueSpace. Though its discontinued its a pretty neat app. I managed that one as a free dl plus the full manual. CoCreate is also a good one., also a freebie. Here's the link. Hope its still good.

Seems like no one is working at the moment or they are just not here. So I'm gonna post a WIP for perusal. It's the first preview of Garnet Storm SMX. Please ... I'm looking for comments, suggestions and what-have-you. It isn't very far along.

The blue doesn't match. Try to stay true to the blind, you'll get the best results. ![]()

Sorry, but I see nothing there that adds to the original. Sometimes the original is the best. The swirly and 'flame' shapes use up the menu space...anything else would be clutter.

I'm assuming you mean the blue of the dial. This is all preliminary work. Nothing permanent yet. I wanted some insight before taking it too far only to start over. The panel where the swirly thing and leaves live ... there won't be anything going up there. I'm trying to use only what's in the folder. Nothing from the outside. And yeah ... I said it was early. Back to work. I have a question concerning the .ini. What does AA_Factor mean?

Ha! Get used to starting over and over and over...regardless of any insight you get...which of course is great to get. I especially love the rush of last minute ideas you get as soon as you hit the submit button. ![]()

I'll pass. My brain is twisted enough trying to wrap it around this thing. Every time I find one thing I think will work it shows me a dozen ways it won't. Stubborn little suckers. Coming along though.

Update on my SMX

Notice the two white images up top. Can't quite figure out what they are. There are three histograms I got working. CPU usage on the bottom. In the middle is TCP in and on top is TCP out. The one bar graph is the only one I have working so far. Don't mind the magic pink. Xiandi told me how to correct it. Other than that everything is going more or less smoothly.
