SKS: How to rename/remove fonts? Neil! Request here for you...
Sunday, April 18, 2010 by Bebi Bulma | Discussion: SkinStudio
I'm pretty handy enough in SKS to figure out how to tweak things here and there in skins to suit my preferences, but one thing I can't seem to figure out is how to rename or remove fonts. There's no right click menu on them, and no buttons on the bottom to do it either in the Edit Fonts section. I can add all the new fonts I want, but not rename or delete them. Surely something so basic should be possible, right? Am I missing it somewhere? ![]()

Hi,
For renaming the font's, it's just like Vampothika said, about deleting the fonts,
Right now this option is missing form SKS7 but if you have the SKS Pro, first make sure
you have the settings "Show the code Editor tab" @ Tools > Preferences > Experience level tab.
Now, go to any section of the skin like "Edit Buttons controls > Push Buttons, got to the "Code Editor" tab,
you will see on top of this tab, a drop down button with the name "buttons" that is the name of this section,
click it and scroll and you'll all sections of your skin, fonts sections are called Font0, Font1, etc, select one
you want to kill and erase all the code. After that you will notice in your Fonts section that the font is no
longer showing.
Ps. after all I really want a "Delete Font" and "Delete Colour" buttons added too ![]()

Gah, well....I hope Neil sees this thread and answers our plea for a totally basic function (that I can't believe isn't built in
) and we'll get an update. ![]()

There is a good reason why such a feature does not exist.
WindowBlinds loads fonts and colours in order and stops when there is a gap. Deleting a font risks breaking things.
Likewise the SkinStudio UI may get very confused if there is a break in the sequence.

Oh man....that sucks. Well I guess just renaming them as vampy mentioned will work.

you can rename the font when you go into the font editor and it says "font name" but i've never found a place to delete a font.
