Deskscapes 3 isn't working - no idea why.

I recently installed Deskscape 3 via Impulse from my paid-up subscription even though the prior deskscape version worked just fine.
I made no changes in my security program/firewall in the interim, and when uninstalling the old version/installing the new version, I even paused PC protection just to make sure there'd be no glitches.
I also used CCleaner to clear out temporary files each time and rebooted as required.
But Deskscapes 3 is not working on my PC for some reason - no previews of installed Dreams and and needless to say it also won't apply them.
Any suggestion on how to fix the problem would be greatly appreciated and If all else fails, can I revert to the previous Deskscapes version?
PS: The OS I'm running is XP.
