can't uninstall to reinstall fences

Saturday, November 28, 2009 by akflyer | Discussion: Fences

Here's the deal. I have 2 hard drives, c and d. C is my system drive and fences was installed on the D drive (and it worked great!!) D drive crapped out on me and fences of course went away. Now I'm trying to install on the C drive and when I do in wants to uninstall. Of course when I do that, I get an error because the D drive is gone. I know that like most programs, they write a lot of files to the Windows OS. I tried manually deleting any references I could find to fences but that didn't work. There must also be some registry issues to deal with. I'd like to get my fences back so any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Try running ccleaner, reboot, re-install

used CCleaner, EZcleaner, Advanced System Care and manually went into the registry and deleted any key with fences or stardock in it. also deleted any files on hard drive with fences or stardock. same problem. can't reinstall because it wants to uninstall. How is it detecting a previous install? The drive that the program was on is dead and I have removed every reference that I can find to Fences. I'm pretty computer savy but this one has got me stumped!!
