Theme Manager Suites for Master WindowBlinds
Tuesday, September 15, 2009 by Philly0381 | Discussion: Suites
Hello folks.
Looking for some input here.
I've been doing Theme Manager Suites for Theme Skins that show up in the WC Gallery Libraries. I usually try to find Themes that have enough skins so that the people downloading them can put together a nice desktop. Community projects are always a great source for this.
I would like to add to this doing Suites base on Master WindowBlinds. I would continue to look at Themes that have enough skins to provide for a nice desktop. I plan to do the suites as I have with links in the description for all the skins. I will of course identify that you will have to purchase the Master Skin. From what I have seen the additonal themed skins are usually uploaded in the Libraries available for download. Before making a suite I would ask permission from the Master Skinner. You could still download the TM Suite and apply, it just won't have the WB included.
So the input I'm looking for, is this a good idea? Would it come off as pushing Master Skins? I will continue doing non Master Theme Suites.
Now this is not a big deal, just my way as a non-skinner trying to do something for the community. Hmm, and maybe get some updates for Theme Manager in the process, oops, did I type that. ![]()

Works for me, but I guess the Masters would be the ones to ask. Oh, there's one at the top of the page....

Even though I have yet to upload a master skin, I think it's a good idea. ![]()

I would think any thing that promotes skinning and might offer the masters a sales boost.. couldnt be a bad thing.

Do people who have a WinCustmize subscription get a discount on all Master Skins?
How about the people who have ObjectDesktop subscriptions?

I haven't even come close to starting and I've come up with some questions.
1. Do I start with older Master Skins and work forward?
2. Do I start with newer Master Skins and work backwards?
3. Do I start with the new Master Skins that are compatible with Win 7? Are there any yet?
4. Will the Master Skinners be updating thier old Skins to be Win 7 compatible? Will these updates be free to folks that purchased previous versons?
5. Who hid the aspirins? ![]()
Keep in mind I'm talking about Master WB Skins.
vStyler, what's your take on these questions?![]()

I would start with the newest ones first, while they're hot!
