I can't find Night Train

So I was looking for his latest revamp of his GUIC entry "iSpire", and I couldn't find him or his stuff anywhere! Where'd he go?

Enough. This has already been discussed in another thread, and really does not need to be continued here. The OP's question was answered already.

Guys. A question was asked and answered.
Now is a good time to move along.

Well, all I have to say, and this is my final say on this (and similar) topics.
I don't care what anyone says, WC is NOT a "community" or "family" in the sense that it once was. It's been obvious for quite awhile now that SD is trying to find a reasonable balance between turning it in to a corporate type site that generates revenue and maintaining a sense of community. It's to be expected and I can't fault them for that. In a nutshell, what matters is the money. The company (like most companies) will put their favors to those that make the money for them and not the as much on the people.
Craig, like many others does not want to be part of this changing environment as it is no longer the environment that made it fun to begin with.
Myself,... my WC subscription runs out in 9 days. My ODNT subscription runs out in November. At this point, I don't think that my revenue stream of the past 7 years will be realized by "the company" any longer. I see enough corporate bullshit in my job. I'm not going to experience it in my hobbies.

If you want to see him keep skinning, you'd better track his skins down. He hasn't decided yet whether he's going to quit skinning or not, but a lack of downloads isn't going to help him decide to continue. He's got at least one more done that he hasn't released.

Part of the argument is whether or not skinners should sell skins, or just give them away. It's an ancient artistic argument. Are you pure because you don't take money for your art, and soiled because you do? It looks like he's on the take no money for your art side, that it sullies Wincustomize and the skinners. I'm all for supporting him because he is really good at what he does, and he's been so helpful to so many skinners in the past, but I completely disagree with his position on selling your art. You need to make a living in this world, and what could be better than making a living being an artist of any kind--painter, musician, sculptor or skinner. Art is worth something; sometimes it's priceless, and the artist ought to be rewarded for their efforts. I'd even like to see Wincustomize introduce a PayPal type system so that we can donate to the skinners if we want to, and it wouldn't hurt my feelings at all if they took a percentage.

All this speculation should be kept to yourselves. I'm sure if Craig said things to you willistuder he didn't want them stated in this thread. Things said in private should be kept there.

The debate about selling skins has been going on for a while, especially since the Master skins program was introduced several years ago. People have wrongly confused this with "selling out", becoming a "corporate hack", or whatever else.
If you don't want to sell your skins, or even like the idea, fine, that is your right. However, to have attitudes with people who do is wrong.
I'm really tired of hearing how WC is not a community, and that is pure nonsense. Right now we have skinners working together to try and solve the DX weather issue, we have skinners working on projects together, I mean I could go on and on. I'm not sure what exactly people expect, but I do know some people have their facts wrong.

I rechecked this thread. No-one was/is trashing Night Train.
The closest that could be suggested is the phrase 'buh-bye' which, by the way is NT's currently chosen Nick.
Please, let's NOT assert, assume, speculate or imply.
He left.
People do.

That's not the way it seems to me. It seems to me, he saw a pattern developing, and that pattern was painful for him, given his experience of what this site used to be. Rather than endure the pain, he removed himself, and set up his leaving, so that it would be difficult to return, thereby breaking the habit of coming here. He's not the only one to have done that lately.
Sometimes when you love something, it's torture to see it growing in a direction that disappoints. I think, all things considering, he handled himself very professionally. I know if I were in the same position, I wouldn't have been so adult about it. It's been my MO in the past, when leaving places, to make a big scene and then slam the door on my way out.
