K so, when i open logonstudio xp it says before it opens: Logon Studio is no more registered as Logon Screen Editor. Do you want to register it? i choose yes becuase if i hit no it closes the program. and when i download logon skins and apply them in logonstudio it does nothing. when i first downloaded it, it would apply it i guess and then log me off but it would still be the same Windows XP logon. any ideas?

if you got it somewhere else, open LS, click "options" on the left and you can change the address where the logons are stored

Thats where its stored - i have Firefox so it automatically installs it there. like when i chose a skin and hit apply nothing happens. i have my skins saved in the wincustomize folder too.
ie:
C:\Program Files\WinCustomize\LogonStudio\name of skin (folder)

does the file extension show on your downloads.. like .. .logonxp

try:
Unzip the file and put the logon folder in C:\Program Files\Wincustomize\Logon Studio.
Then open Logon Studio. The file should be in the list and should work fine. If it doesn't, you have other problems not related to Logon Studio..very possibly the Vista theme pack.
you can ignore the Vista Theme Pack reference, unless........

That would indicate that you had another Logon changing program installed.
Try uninstalling and reinstalling Logon Studio, that may work. ![]()

did you install LogonStudio to the default path or another path?
it's always worked for me in: C:\Program Files\WinCustomize\
with the unzipped logons in: C:\Program Files\WinCustomize\LogonStudio
