Window Blinds does not recognize Skinstudio Pro

Nothing happen if clicking on "Open in Skinstudio"!

Thursday, March 12, 2009 by Revanito | Discussion: WindowBlinds Tutorials

Hi you all!

Now after using Window Blinds for a while, my dad bought me the Object Desktop-Update. Included is the Skinstudio.

Everything is installed correct, but if i click the Tab "Open in Skinstudio" inside Window Blinds... nothing happens!!!

=o(

Sad thing, cause the function seems very comfortable.

Has anybody an idea what i have to do that this can work??? I looked for an Option inside some Preferences... but couldnt find anything.

Please help!

What version of SkinStudio did you install?

It doesnt work... you need to open Skinstudio and then choose which WB skin to edit from within SKS.

Working fine here.  Either right-click on a skin or selecting and clicking the button on the left.

You must have a special version then , In vista... right click > Edit in skinstudio...does..not...work... least not the few dozen times I've tried it.

There appear to be specific hardware/software combos that frustrate us all in one way or another.  If not this, Deskscapes or IP or...

Thank you all for your Replies... After a Reboot suddenly now... it works!  Strange... but true.

I think i see it like DAIWA wrote:

Cause: I also have a Prob too with Dreamscapes running (NOT) under WinXP SP3!

Not ONE Dream is running... and: after several tries i get a black screen and have to Reboot! =o(

What a Mess! You payed your hard earned money for a soft... that does NOT work. Even if Stardock says : "XP-Version"

Revanito - I meant that while the apps work for *most* folks, there are some of us who happen to have problematic rigs that have a particular chip set, video drivers or other installed software (or something) which confounds a particular Stardock app - for me, it's Deskscapes, all the rest work fine. For most folks, Deskscapes runs fine on XP SP2 & SP3, just not here, even though I have a what you'd think was a 'common' setup (recent Dell hardware). Stardock works harder at sorting out the 'outliers' than any outfit I've seen, but the entire universe of hardware/software permutations & combinations can't be covered; it's just too big.
