Making Dream in XP?

Is it possible to make a new .dream in XP? I bought DreamScapes, and at least 3 of the supplied ones work. (Watercolour just sits there, the grass one tells me I need an MPEG-2 codec.)
It apparently also installed DreamMaker, but the docs page on that says that it needs Vista Ultimate. I'm surprised it installed onto my XP if not. (Does DreamMaker install with Dreamscapes? Because I didn't install it separately via Impulse--there's no listing for DreamMaker in Impulse, actually.)
Any help would be appreciated. (Mostly I wanted to use a different reflection image on the water .dream, and this got me looking.)
