SATA TO IDE

I changed my hard drive and now my computer does not reconize the HD the old HD was a SATA drive and so is the new one but my computer does not reconize it. What can I do to have this fixed

Does the BIOS recognize the drive? If not, could be because of the jumper conflict. IDE drives come with jumpers usually pre-installed in either "Master" or "Cable Select" by default. Check to see if other IDE devices (CD ROM for example) are not in conflict by being on the same channel and setting.

Sounds like a driver problem to me. Go to the manufactures website and download the latest driver set for it and install it
