I dont understand why it would take 6-10 people to make a windowblind...and then 4-6 people for "design help" for it.....

How about 1 skinner with multiple personalities?

I know of at least one that comes to mind.

Only One/?? There's gotta be more than one, surely...

Then we could have a whole suite of supercalifreakinawesome WB's from a cohesive group of associates who know each other's quirks, strengths and weaknesses.

Oh, I momentarily forgot!! Too many cooks spoil the broth... and a bunch of quirky multiple personalities constantly arguing amongst themselves (and with each other) would defeat the purpose...

Yeah, I can see it now Po` and Skinhit, vStyler and IR Brainiac, 2of3 and MikeB1954 making absolutely no progress whatsoever... cos the 20 - 25 of them 'd never be able to agree on anything at all. Moreover, the pages of WC would be graced daily with dozens of photoshopped 'revenge' pics to show their displeasure at one another for shot down ideas being out-voted 20 or so to 1.

What, you don't believe that multiple personalities argue/vote against each other?? Well lemme tell ya summat... I got 6 or 7 that do it to me all the time.

Seriously, I think the idea of an old fashioned community project is the only way to go... where a group of skinners agree to work on a common theme and each has autonomy over their own contribution, rather than having a CEO come taskmaster putting everything to a board of directors for debate/approval, etc. My tuppence worth.

Which might be way better than the suite...I guess

Ignore the baddie comments above, they're all just trying to say that you can't skin if you don't put in some sweat. If you're that enthusiastic and want to learn skinning, there are a few options you've got:
1. Learn skinning.
2. Try to learn skinning, get frustrated and give up
3. Forget skinning and do something else.

Also, people here are not mean. They all want to help you.

You need to understand that nobody can't demand any other person [noobs too] to do something, while you runaway with all the credit.

See what I mean?

And also, before people agree to skin a suite together, you must prove to them that you can skin.
Here's a thought: Make some great skins, get known and attempt everything you can do. If there's anything you can't skin, leave it. Then someone might help you.

Hmmm.....If someone with multiple personalities threatens to kill himself, is it considered a hostage situation?

Anyway....gotta have screenies first!

It's gonna be so huge it will take 3 people to come up with a theme name for what the other 24 create

Call it a 'Camel'.

That's a horse designed by a committee...

Good question... and complicated all the more by some of the idiots in there with him egging him on.

Doesn't seem like such a bad idea to get a group of WC skinners working together with a group of deviant art skinners.

Having been through a number of projects like these I've learned a few lessons.

The first being that the organizer has to be a leader and have a vision.  The second it that picking the team members works better than asking for people to volunteer.  I've been really lucky here but my next project will be by invitation. The third is that drinking helps.

I8pie2day, once you've been around us a while you will see that we all like to poke fun at ourselves and each other. Your original post was so 'over the top' that we just couldnt resist.   No harm was meant.

Your idea of gathering skinners for a big project is a good one. It might be difficult getting enough together though, the GUIC is comming up and lots of us are busy getting ready for that.

If you want to learn how to skin things, just pick something you use and dive in! There are lots of people here who will help you when you have a question.

Good for you for wanting to do a community skin and show community spirit, unlike some of the replies i have read. Id be more than willing to help, but at the moment my mind is firmly set on the gui champs.

How about 1 skinner with multiple personalities?

I know of at least one that comes to mind.

...at least i always have someone to talk to

That was, in the good old days (when skinning was just about fun), called a 'Community project'.
