New DesktopX Documentation Site

misprint?

Thursday, July 24, 2008 by PuterDudeJim | Discussion: OS Customization

I was just reading the new DesktopX Guide and there is some misinformation there. On page 4 when talking about the Desktop Playground theme, it says that in Wall Mode the icons bounce off the edge of your screen, when actually, they stick to the sides of your screen. No biggie, just an observation.

While I am here, I would like to know who wrote the scripts on this desktop, and who I need to ask to use them....please.

If you "throw" the objects against the side on my desktop they bounce (as long as I have that set on the Smile interface).  If I set "Wall Mode" to Magnetic, they stick when "thrown".

With either setting, if I set them on the site of the wall they stick.

I didn't even notice this desktop when I upgraded.  Cool!

You are correct! I see now that bouncing is the default, magnetic if chosen. Thanx for clearing that up. I never noticed it before tonight either. I thought it was the same old desktop that has always been with DX. The one I always ignore...lol. Cool stuff in this one, I want to borrow some scripts!!! I see potential.
