huge problem, cant use my old dreams even tho i have version 1.2 on ultimate

I had it before and i couldnt use my old dreams then, made me use internetal player when i have ultimate, but i'll try it again

im trying to run the TropicalParadise.dream, i just restarted and i still can not use my old dreams

Are the dreams mpeg or wmv...can you run the video's that came with Microsoft's Dreamscene like vid9899 or vid1337? If you are able to run them then it's doubtful that it's a codec issue. If you can't, it probaly is.
Also, try using a wmv as a dreamscene...one of the ones that microsoft installed in your video directory will do or try your original plasma wmv that we created your dream out of.
Have you restarted your system between installs? Is Nero installed?
Edit, Tropical paradise is a mpeg dream. Is it the newest one I uploaded the other day?

I have nero 8 ultra, just installed that yesterday, i restarted inbetween installing evenything, and it seems to be with every dream i have, except for the vid ones...

Ok so I to dl it. Works ok here a little blurry. I take it you updated your vid drivers? I'm on Vista Ultimate 32bit with a ATI 512mb X1650 series with the drivers that came with the computer. Is this the only dream that doesn't work?

Im running dual 2600XT Turo-Q's, crossfire linked...8.4driver, newest one
Bouncing box doesnt not work, when i click it it stays highlighted and then unselects and says video:vid8896

I still am unsure if you are able to run video as a dreamscene.
At this point all I can suggest is to uninstall deskscapes.
After uninstalling deskscapes, manually delete the "C:\ProgramData\Stardock\Deskscapes" directory if the uninstall process didn't delete it.
Reboot.
Open Stardock central, reinstall deskscapes
Reboot.
Try desckscapes and hopefully it will work.

I'm confused...Desktop Background does not even show up in "Personalize" window...I can't choose any Dreamscapes only Deskscapes, and Microsoft just released a new pack today
