I uninstalled Impulse to check something out, and now I can't reinstall......
I get 3 options when I run Impluse_setup.exe.
Modify Available Options
Repair Application
Uninstall
There's nothing to modify, repair, or uninstall...... it's already gone.
No option to Install.
Cleaned out all references to Impulse in the Registry, but that didn't help.

Several registration code problems, but copy/paste from SDC fixed them all.
Impulse is showing a lot more updates than SDC is...have been updating with no problems so far.
The update for WindowBlinds is a bit odd:
Installed Beta: 6.09g[b].135
Available Beta: 6.09d[b].124
Looks like that's going backwards ???
Under the 'Themes' tab, it shows Gyre available and a free version of Quest. I already have both of those, so what is Impulse telling me about these themes?
I used Impulse to update CursorFX to .10, now it is showing that I don't have the app installed at all. Not sure what to do about that... Used SDC to uninstall then Impulse to re-install.
I now have a very strange folder hierarchy after updating DX...
C:\Program Files\Stardock\DesktopX\Stardock\Object Desktop\DesktopX
I want all my Stardock/Object Desktop/Wincustmize apps to be installled under only one folder: c:\program files\stardock. Is that possible?
Now, SDC is showing an update for IconPackager that Impulse is not
Are all skins, themes, etc supposed to be in C:\Users\Public\Documents\Stardock in Vista? There are skins, themes, etc all over the place, the folder hierarchy is totally borked as are the start menu shortcuts for OD and WC apps. Looks like I need to uninstall this whole thing and use Impulse to reinstall.

deleted everything (not skins, etc) using Impulse to reinstall. I told it to install everything in c:\program files\stardock.
What I'm getting is c:\program files\stardock\stardock\object desktop\.....
please fix this.

I'd like to know the trick, too.

Try Unistalling from the Add/Remove Software in the Control Panel in Windows. Then delete the executable and re-download.

There's nothing to uninstall, I've already done that. Re-downloaded twice, but no joy. All I get is maintenance operations, no option to install.
If I choose Uninstall from the maintenance oprations, I get this........
"The Setup Wizard for Impulse has failed: "Fatal error during installation". Please check your settings and try again."

The status shows installing at 1% every 2 seconds. It takes almost 4 min. to install.
Has to be a currupted file, I'm guessing.
Oh, and still can't get past the log-in screen (see my above comment) after uninstall, clean, redownload and reinstall.

I love how they never tell what settings to check.

Stardock Central will install it just fine.
Also, on the Windowblinds website it states that it IS compatible with Windows Server 2003.

Keep getting "Server not responding, please check your internet connection".
It's funny, SDC logs in fine.
Running Windows XP SP2 and Windows Vista Home Premium
Does it on both.
Also, my password has less than 8 characters and numbers, is it still going to log me in?
