Changing My Nick Name
Saturday, February 23, 2008 by prickly pear | Discussion: Stardock Support General
I would like to change my "nick name". I went to the WinCustomize home page.....click onto my settings....click onto my Stardock Account and logged in......and then tried to change my nick name. I have used all the correct alpha/numeric characters. I receive this error message: Your nick name contains invalid characters. Only alphanumeric characters are allowed. (
I want to change from prickly pear to Flute Player. I don't want to add any numbers.....just change the name. What am I doing wrong? I have Windows XP Home with SP2. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Yes, that worked. Thank you!!! I really wanted a space in between (Flute Player) not FlutePlayer. Thank you so much for taking the time to help me.

Got you!!! I kind of figured it was something like that. I've been a member since 2003 and just in the past few months I have become active again in the WinCustomize/Stardock community. Sometimes I sure do miss those "good old days".
Have a good weekend.

For instance I see that this thread is still showing as written by prickly pear not FlutePlayer but when you click on prickly pear and go to her profile it does take you to the profile saying FlutePlayer. But she doesnt have a gallery so I cant tell how it affects your uploaded content.
Does it leave your old name on all the content you have already uploaded and just link to the personal page with the new name? Or does it change your name on your previous uploads?
Not that I want to make a major change to my name just thinking about getting rid of the numbers. Only put them there out of habit from using them on other sites.

If you're known with one 'handle' you should stick with it for continuity/consistency...
In your case no-one's ever heard of you so 'hey you' would work....though I think it's already taken....![]()
Yes, Seabass... I know....I can run, but I'll only die tired...![]()
