Startmenu doesn't hide complete

Hello again.
Got another problem. If I open the startmenu and got the objectdock open, the startmenu doesn't hide complete. A small view always stay. It just happen, if the objectdock is on down position. So it has to be something with the framesize from the objectdock. Someone can help?
Another problem I got is, that I don't know how I can change the startfolder if I open the explorer.exe. If I open it, it appears the "my documetns" folder. I want to have a harddrive folder from the workspace. How can I get it?
