LUFFYPSP, first off let me say welcome to the community of desktop customization. I'm going to suggest that you first do a little reading. The link is to the WinCustomize Wiki home page. Check it out, it goes into most if not all the programs that are availbale from Stardock and you will also find some tutortials. Once you done some reading come on back with your questions.

The first question I have for you is what if any programs of Stardock have you downloaded?

Along with the WinCustomize Wiki, here is a series of articles that are designed for newer uses on how to change your desktop.

Vista is similar to XP in the way most of these apps work  . . what do you want to customize?

If you will let us know if you have downloaded the programs to go along with the skins then we can start helping you. If you want to change essentially the whole desktop I would suggest you look at purchaseing Object Desktop. You should have read about it in the wikie.

What kind of an internet connection do you have?

Yes, most of the skins require some Stardock product, some are free, some are "Plus" versions with more features and require you to buy them.

Windowblinds works with Vista, CursorFX is out in beta for ODNT subscribers, IconPackager works with Vista, LogonVista works with Vista, DesktopX, ObjectDock, and Dreams all work with Vista.
