kaazz .. it depends on your res in relation to the res used in the theme.. if its smaller then you would have to alter some graphics and move the correlating objects.if bigger .. then you would just need to center the top bar...

ok if the res you are using is larger than the one in the DX theme you will need to center the top bar.open DX builder and move the images and all related objects to the right ( i sugest starting with the main bar part or background of the bar.). to do this in builder you would go in to each objects properties/ then the summary tab/ then change the very first coordinates (typically shown as left) to where you would want the object. then hit apply and the object will move to the right. remember higher #'s will move it right, lower will move it left. each part of the top bar will need to be moved in this fashion to fit everything back in the same are it was in.

you can also find the parent object and set the movement to default. and hit apply this will allow you to drag the bar over to where you need it and the objects which make up that bars internals will follow...

you can actually try this now as it may already be set to default and can be moved...

ahh your res is smaller.. so it will be quite a task to change it to fit...it can be done but much more detailed than in my last post...

Wow! I am in the process of writing a tutorial for the wiki on changing the rez for that very theme! It isn't complete enough for the wiki but I could upload the word doc to a file sharing site.....

P.S.: I'm on 1024 so I think it should work for you.

I put it up on my article development page over at the WCWiki. Apologies for the lack of images as of yet; hope it is still understandable.

Just hold the ctrl button down while dragging things to where you want them.

I think we need to work with people making themes to get them to work on things like being res-independent (not 100% due to size items) but you could make things "Scale" or "stretch" and still look good. the trick is to not use an object for the background items, like the top/left/right/bottom/center areas and then use the "advanced" settings on the objects to be able to stretch (or tile) these to fit the user's screen size.

I think this could be a good tutorial.. anyone interested? Email me.

that'll work for a simple widget or theme but for a advanced theme i don't think there are only one way to make a theme in resolution independent; i mean that made a theme in resolutions independent need:
Good groupings
All objects named(if not groups and especially when we have severals ones won't work correctly)
use the good area placements
use stretching and advanced settings for some of the background image
AND tried it in all the resolutions you can

BUT i think a good tutorial explaining how to use % of the resolution size and stretching/tiles in DX might help some beginners and even advanced users to find their way.
So RomanDA way to go
I thought to make one severals times but i don't think i've the languages' skills to explain it correctly
I can easily make a theme in res ind but i can't explained how in english (from the way used change for each themes also)
