When you buy a car you now upfront that you need to fill it with gas.
People have the right to whine.

I did answer the survey that Stardock put out, did you? My action of sending you the email could very well may violate my relationship between Stardock and myself as a customer. Another example, I've stated that I renewed my subscription early when I received an email with a discount. I've read other threads here that said they received an email with an offer of a Premium Suite if they renewed early.
The point I making is that we may be looking at promoition programs that are only meant for the individual that the email was sent to.
I think we have to go back to my #16 reply and wait for a Stardock rep to show up.

The issue is in fact having to pay two years in advance.

My question is a valid one. And I've been a sub since 2001, so I seen a lot.

Renewing
will add an entire year to your access to Object Desktop updates. Plus, with
this special offer, anyone with a subscription that expires anytime after
01/01/2009 will get a free, brand-new premium suite next month.
The e-mail about the Magic suite is just letting users who did renew past that date, know that the suite is coming.

Appreciate you response Island Dog. Now maybe we can all get back to doing important things like. . . . . . . . . . . . Damn, I don't have anything else to do.

Still not keen on this 'Elite' thing though.
I think anyone who subscribes year after year is 'Elite'.
hehe Philly I'm with you on the 'anything else to do' bit.

We've been seeing a whole lot more coupons and stuff lately and now we have this premium suite. Is Stardock looking for cash?
Well . . . Brad has been looking to buy a new boat, plus we made some bad sub-prime loans to the Drengin and now they have defaulted and said they will shoot down any repo-ships that enter their quadrant.
In retrospect, extending their line of credit so they could buy "home defense" was a poor decision . . .

More information about that will be coming in the near future.

Why is it - every time we are offered a premium suite or a master suite the whiners come out? Grow up. If you want it, get it. If you don't, don't. How pissed were you when you bought a car and found out you had to put gas in it? Jesus.
This is not about whining but about clearing somrthing up. I did not complain, please red most posts carefully again. Yor rant is totally uncalled for and rude. Most of us are long time subscribers, so I think we have the right to ask
if something is not clear. And this cannot kept private, because the newsletter goes out to literally thousand of users.
