Commercial Break

Friday, August 17, 2007 by 2of3 | Discussion: WinCustomize Talk

Don't you hate it when you are watching a really good film on the tube and every 15 minutes some damn commercial interupts?

As much as we hate them though, they have a way of sticking in your brain. I often catch myself humming some meaningless tune at work, only to realize that it's the damn coca-cola jingle!

Here's a list of lines that have become famous and (some) hated through the years

1. "When you have a headache this big"
2. "Where's the biff?"
3. "How do you spell relief?"
4  "I've fallen...... and I can't get up!"
5. "Trix are for kids"
6. "Coocoo for cocopuffs"
7. "They're magically delicious"
8. "Mikey likes it"

Not to forget pokin' the fatass pilsberry dough-boy in the belly button..... "hmm-hmm!"

What are your favorites (or most hated)?

Can't remember any TV ads really...wouldn't want to! Can see no point to total recall when I hate advertising with a passion at the best of times. We're inundated with ads everywhere we look...so if I happen watch commercial TV, I'll take a nature break when the ad breaks come on...or, if I don't need to, I'd make another cuppa so I did next time.

In fact, these days, I'm only watching only 1 hour of TV per week in total....Stargate. And when Lost resumes....it'll be 2 hours in total.

Heroes, BSG, Lost, and Prison Break. Anything else is a waste of my Time.

I watch Discovery and The History Channel. Occasionally I'll watch Animal Planet. Everything else, IMO, is crap!

Heroes, BSG, Lost, and Prison Break.

I'm not into BSG that much, but my sister has the entire new series on DVD...so I'll watch it that way. She also has Heroes, Prison Break, 24 and a few other TV series' on DVD....so I'll be borrowing them from time to time cos it beats commercial TV/breaks.

She doesn't have any Stargate/Atlantis stuff so I'll go get those for myself once I'm done upgrading/rebuilding a couple of my old puters.

Take my advice, don't ever watch the 1978 version of BSG...... No that's a load of crap!

I am the proud owner of everything produced of Star Trek Including the animated series. I'm a weirdo

I sorta recall that....wasn't too impressed with it then, and would probably think it's too corny for words now.

Now that's a show/series of series that I could get into...The X Files was another.
