Creating/Allowing User Defined Icon

Guess I mean more specifically from a gadget perspective as we can changed them by editing widgets.

What I mean is the actual application/gadget/widget icon that shows in the tray and in the folder and/or menu. Is that a little clearer?

Imagine a CPU gadget that shows: 40% as the ICON in the tray?????
Ir the current TEMP or weather condition, or hell, the phase of the moon.

Look here and feel free to use it
more than allow users to change the shortcuts to their own (URL email files folders...) it change the icon of the object itself
but you'll need scripting and more in settings right the states names....
