I'd guess that it's a low priority item on the list.
With XP it was hard to do and harder to support.
Not many people look at the bootscreen (they are off getting coffee or tea as the PC boots
)
Like all the other apps Stardock produces, you can expect that they will make an announcement here when they have a tentative date.

Availability: Mid March for beta on Object Desktop.
please don't take me wrong here as I ain't complaining,just haven't heard any news at all and the above was published earlier-and yes,I look at the bootscreen as I don't drink coffee

Maybe this post will be deleted, because I made a similar one yesterday, and not only my reply seems to have vanished, but the entire post seems to be gone.
Anyways, in that post I said that DeskScapes appears to be the same kind of VAPORWARE that BootVista has become.
That mid-March date was posted on Tuesday, January 30, 2007,
making it well over a year old, which in turn does qualify it as Vaporware.
