Something Has Happened, But I Don't Know What
Friday, July 20, 2007 by JayTee10 | Discussion: Windows XP
I was fooling around with Windowblinds last night, changing blinds and something happened, or I changed something so that the task bar would not change with the blind. The order went like this:
Lore: Have been using for a long time; cool blind
to
Amphitrite: Because I thought it was very pretty
to
Sonix07: Because I didn't know I'd d/l'd it and wanted to try it out but there were some things missing, at least on my machine
to
Mauve: Because I know everything works with it
to
Lore: But here is where the problems start
After all of that switching around suddenly my task bar won't become the same as the rest of the 'blind. Even tho I loaded Lore, the task bar was still Mauve. AND, in using Sonix07, the Systray icons just flat disappeared. The arrow (or other icon) to expand the systray is there, but the icons are not. Mousing over it doesn't even bring up a name of an icon in the tray. It's like they're there, but they aren't. After Sonix07, this happend with Mauve and with trusty Lore. So I unloaded Windowblinds back to plain vanilla XP and I now have icons in my systray again. Now the only thing is the icon names are behind the taskbar. What in the world did I do?
Here is the information, but with just using XP I don't know how much help it will be. I can load each of those 'blinds and send along the info it it'll be helpful. I want my 'blinds back!!!

Reboot, this is a known Windows bug.
In WB config, Override default settings, there is an option to ignore taskbar and start menu defined in skin and use the one set below, have you click to set this when you where playing.

Yes, I did. I should have mentioned that, too. I unloaded, rebooted, and reloaded "Lore", but the taskbar was still "Mauve". But, okay, I looked in WB overrides and taskbar and shellstyle were ticked for "Mauve", referring to Cavan1's reply.
I may just have had a moment of confusion and forgot to changed those, too, so I'm going to see what happens.
