I'll try and walk you through how I do it, it's not hard.

When I find a skin that I want to download I go into the rainlendar file, open the skins folder and make a new folder with the name of the skin I'm going to download.

Go into the rainlender library and right click on the skin you want, pick download.

It should download as a zip file (not know what your using to download SDC or Wincustomize) find the find and double click, it should open up.

Extract all the files to the folder you made in rainlender.

Open/start rainlender, you will see selections, sometime you need to hit refresh for rainlender to recognize the new skin.

Click on skins or options (depends on whcih version of rainlender you are using) and look for you skin, click and it should load.

Other folks may have a different way, and if I totally messed it up someone will come by to correct me.

Note: There are two versions of rainlender, I have both versions download because not everyone is using the new version to create new skins.

Hope this helps

Some or the skins don't work with the new Rainlender though, I gotta find an older version of it.

Hi, all you need to do to to install a skin is to unzip the entire folder into C' programs Rainlendar skins ...note some have fonts that need to be installed as well. Then just open the unzipped file and copy the font to c windows fonts and it will install itself. then rightclick on the calendar select refresh, then options.

uninstall the old & download the new version of rainlendar again and copy all of the unzipped files into the skins folder. All of the skins should now work....I am using skins as far aback as 2001 & the newest ones with no issues, even though few if any are making the new ones with the version.

Might be one on rainy's site. The new one is pretty buggy for me also. I may quit using Rainlendar2 and just go back to the old one.

I like the "alarm" prompts that popup when I set them for events. Depend on 'em, for that matter.

Basically the method above is it.
They're not self-installing, the themes, so I have a desktop file, "My Downloads". Inside are folders, one of them being "Rainlendar".
When I dl a theme/skin from the site, I right-click the Download button and choose Save As>My Downloads>Rainlendar.
Then I go to C:\Program Files\Rainlendar, open it, and choose "skins".
[now there's two folders open and I right-click the Taskbar and choose "Tile windows vertically". That puts 'em side by side.]
"Peel"(extract) the downloaded file open 'til you've got one with the name of the skin, and .png files inside.
Right-click and drag that file to the "skins" folder and choose "copy"
Yr all done.
Now you have to close Rainlendar, if running, and open it up, and your new skin will be there in the Options window under Skins when you Right-Click on the calendar showing on the desktop.
Choose a skin/theme from the left-hand side and push the little arrow thingy to move it to the right side.
Close the config window and you'll be lookin' at it!

[blah blah blah... hope this helps]
