Noob needs help to Download xD

Hey im new to this website and i have been trying to download. But it aint working.
1. I find the Skin i wanna download (do i need a specefic program to do that?)
2. I click it and presses the button "download".
3. Then a page comes up where there in the upper screen reads: click link to download. and under that, is the link. I press the link and a picture just shows up.
What have i done wrong?
