WB doesn't skin the taskbar/start menu

When I load a theme in windowsblinds, the skin doesn't change the look of the taskbar or the start menu. I have searched through the options in the WB menus and the XP menus to no avail. Any help would be much appriciated.

Is this a trial or purchased version of WindowBlinds?

If purchased, did you completely remove the trial (if previously installed) before you installed the new version?

Did you install through Stardock Central?

it's purchased, and I never installed the trial on this PC. I did install via Stardock Central I believe.
