I cannot disable WB skinning for firefox.exe

Hi friendly support people,
There's an issue that I've skirted for a while but can't seem to tolerate any longer. I really like the GT3wb5 skin by Tiggz but it causes me contrast problems in Firefox with its Blue Ice skin as you can see below in my screenshot
The toolbar text is nearly invisible. Meanwhile, you can see that I have put firefox.exe on the exclusion list.
Can someone please help me with this issue before I pound in my laptop?

Happens with all skins,the colors you are having problems with are classic colors...button text color.
their used to be an option in wb for excluded apps inheriting skin colors but it seems to be gone now.
best you can do is set a different skin for that app or hope that a substyle has different colors assigned for that attribute.

Right click on the Firefox shortcut and try using the option " disable visual themes "
under the compatability tab.

That just made it ugly...didnt change text colors

Right click on desktop, chose Properties, then Advanced, then Other advanced controls and you can change font colors for different windows, apps, etc. from the drop down menu. You can't change them all, the Font menu is active for those you can. That's what I've done for some skins. Just remember which ones you've changed so you can change back for other skins.

Hi, what I do is to use a Firefox theme, Windowblinds still skins the borders but this way a skin will not affect the toolbars or readability at all. And your choices are immense. I find this the easiest to avoid any trouble with WB and I do *not have FireFox excluded in WB nor do I need to wait for substyles or change any settings anywhere.

I use a firefox theme as well and it changes mine. Maybe I need to reapply the theme after I apply the WB. Will try that next time instead of changing font colors.

Neil I know your the developer but wb used to have a checkbox for something to do with apps on the excusion list and skin colors...dont know what it did...but it was there and now it isnt.

the override default settings used to be much larger.I think it was there.

IE does it on webpages too,just not the menubar like FF.
This isnt a WB issue I thin,but more a coding choice by app programmers.Some other applications are the same way.

Thanks everyone! I did what MsPooma suggested and I was able to get it to an acceptable level. Now hopefully the same thing would apply when I upgrade to Vista...

Ok, I take it back. I did what MsPooma suggested and it appears that the configurations are not saving and reverts back even when I just hibernate my computer. I think I have literally spent over 2 hours of pure tweaking and applying of these changes and I am very close to throwing in the towel. Either I use another windowblinds skin or I use another firefox skin

If you want to change WB skin colours, install skinstudio & you can edit the skin.
