Here's the number 8 icon. It's the audio CD icon.
The notes's model and texture is the same as the My Music Folder icon.
The Addition here, is the CD.
Model:
The CD was modeled using the tube tool with a stretch modifier along the edges.
Texture:
The CD's texture is a modified version of the note's texture. However, the anisotropy is used to give it the look of a CD. Also, since the inner ring of the CD was a different color, I used a multi/sub-object texture and changed the inner ring's material ID.
Lighting:
I used two omni lights where used to light the CD to match the original XP icon.
