Question to desktopx theme

Hello,
I recently downloaded a Desktopx theme and installed it, but has only a resolution of 1024x768 (it's destinizatorb21), and I thought I could bring it up to a resolution of 1600x1200 by editing the image in the folder with paint. So I did this and the Desktop was now filled out, but the visual effects were still on the same place as before, so they were not on the right place now. So my question is how I can change the places the visual effects are placed.
