Wrong page displayed on log in.

I had posted this on the " Forum issue " thread - Andrew suggested I start a new thread in proper place due to forum is different coding.
All week when I log in I get taken to a blank page that has nothing on it but the recent pole question in the center of this blank page. I have to hit the back button and log in my user name again. This happens everytime I log in - I have to do it twice .

Heck, I can't even log in with IE. I have to use Firefox. I haven't changed anything on my system (and can log in fine over at JU).

Its not top priority - its not really a big deal having to log twice. Others are having much bigger issues. but yw.
I am too Blue - IE shuts down constantly - not sure whats going on with that but I use FF .

Fairyy~, if you or anyone else is sent to the page that only shows the Poll, please let us know here. This error is not showing up 100% of the time, so is difficult to track down.

also Fairyy~, you mentioned (in another thread) that the when you get a watch email on a thread, clicking on the link will open IE and then clost it. If you still have the email, could you forward it to me?

I had this happen today for the first time.
New cookies so I had to log on. I used my nick instead of my email and only saw the poll. Refreshed and all was well. IE 6, WINXP Pro, Google Toolbar.

It just happened to me when I signed in a few minutes ago. What is it you need me to show you ? The addy in the browser that im being taken to ?
I have 2 of them but not sure if I even clicked on those .....ill go sign out and try them.

Fairry~ click dean's username in the last reply he made. A popup menu will open. Click 'Email dean183'. You'll be taken to an email user page.

I have tried it several times..when I click on " email dean " I see a ------- this type of broken lines appear in a box around the words like a depressed link - but im not taken anywhere. Maybe it wont work in FF. But he emailed me his addy so all is well.

I have had this error consistently on my home machine for at least two weeks, and at work all but one day for the same two weeks.
It happens any time I clear all files (History, Internet Files, and Cookies), and then logon to WC.
I can sort it each time by closing and re-opening the browser and opening WC page.
I only use IE6 (current version 6.0.2900.2180).
I thought it was just my home machine on the day it functioned properly at work, but has become a consistent issue at work now as well.
No issue logging onto other sites at all (bank, Adobe, music, etc.)

Well since Monday logging in on front page is a 10 to 20 minute ordeal. My cursor takes forever to stop spinning even after I finally get logged in. The trace routes are all over the place. The numbers get in the thousands after hitting refresh. ( See last trace )

uh...the same thing happens to me at home, but not at work...when I log in from work I get the homepage, at home when I log in I get the poll, and no matter what I click on, I'm staying right there until I hit the back button. Once this is accomplished, I'm logged in.

Ok- im not even getting the WC poll question 90% of the time anymore - but at least that was quicker than this.

That's a really poor connection. Dialup perhaps? Either way, starting from your location you're getting extremely high hop times.
The tracert reports really arent nessesary any longer (please stop posting them). I've forwarded the thread to the person in charge of wincustomize at the moment.
