For T Man or the person who is in charge...
Wednesday, July 12, 2006 by TYCUS | Discussion: WinCustomize Site Issues
well, it's more like a request., is it possible to have a animated avatar? and to submit a GIF preview of our skins some where in the site?
about the avatars: a 50x50 GIF file (no larger than 15k)
and about the skins: The preview image must not exceed 100x100 pixels; not for WB skins or Wallpapers(yea i know.., who have seen a good GIF wallpaper?), no i mean on little things like cursor or beatnick animations and i dont know, maybe also on FX skins(are they skins
just two little ideas

Just a Q....are you upping the new one with a new filename?...
TYCUS ... I think for many, animations all over the place are more a distraction than a benefit. I for one wouldn't support their adoption...

Yes
...thats the first question buzzh58 asked me...he was able to change his today . Although he had tried a few times and his cursor only spun endlessly on other occasions ...today he got it on first try. When I do it - it says successful..So I had buzz try to upload mine for me. He also got the " successful upload message but it was still the same avetar from 2 years ago. I have deleted all cookies and cache etc. Not sure why this is happening. I cant change my desktop screen shot on that page either.
ps: both buzz and I are using the newest version of FF...but I tried in IE 6 too - same result.

this time when I uploaded it - page changed but stayed a blank white page- cursor spun for 15 minutes then I got bored so I hit reload - I got the " post data message and do you want to retry click ok " so I did and presto ...avetar uploaded.....only problem ..wasnt exactly the one I wanted. sigh....but for now..ill just leave it.
PS : I changed the file name to just " avetar " just in case . Both had " fairyy " as the beginning of file name - not sure it mattered but was worth a shot.

i remember a friend having a similar problem with FF a while ago...
try checking the follwoing:
1. enter "about:config" in the FF url bar
2. find the entry for "images.animation_mode"
3. check it has "normal" as it's value, if not, change it to "normal"
4. see if it works now...
if it doesn't work you could try re-creating your user profile in FF by going to c:/documents and settings/(your user name)/application data/mozilla make a backup of the Firefox directory, then delete it. FF will re-create it when you re-start FF, and re-install your extensions....
if none of that works, it's probably some setting in ZA, and i dont use ZA anymore, so i can't find the setting
good luck and happy hunting

Upload successful in one place then upload failed above it. I only uploaded one item. Talk about a mixed message.

It's not like we have much of a say . . . but I vote "No". I'll stick with skinning the site (hoping for aquarium skin support!)
