| At the old forums, when I clicked 'quote,' at least the tags would show up and I could copy paste the quote in it. |
The method is [has always been] to drag your cursor over the text you wish to copy...then whilst hilighted click on 'quote'...

People who have been here a long time will remain patient, they remember the good times
It's the new and prospective members we should be concerned about. How would you feel, as a newbie, if you visited a site numerous times and couldn't get into anything. You'd quickly get fed up and go elsewhere. That's business lost. This site is the front end and should be speedy and look the best, for a while now it has been neither.
Speaking of the good times, I just had a look at the messageboard 2 1/2 years ago on the wayback machine. There were 55 threads less than 24hrs old on the general section - today there are only 14. What does that say?

I've been noticing the drop here in the forums for some time now. Its one of the quickest ways to lose visitors...have a site that does not function well. And these new ads peppered throughout the forums doesn't help any either....they're really annoying whe trying to read anything.

Traffic today is over 4 times what it was two years ago.
The forums did better two years ago though. Our forums rihgt now kind of suck. We're working on it.

Nope...don't work either! Oh well, I'm sure it'll all get sorted soon......if not at WC's end, something quite simple will eventually dawn on me at this end. LOL

| .no more server errors or other errors for the matter...it just doesn't load. |
I havent been able to even read a forum thread all week to find out whats going on. It seems pointless to even try lately. I click - page turns white and i sit here waiting....waiting...waiting...nothing. I leave and delete cookies ...come back , click on thread " new site page " loads - try to reply to a post - click send - strange gray film appears over page ( don't even ask me to explain that ) page freezes - post does not post. Exit site - resign in - click on forum " OLD forum site " loads. And on an on an on an on. Right now I'm seeing the " old site forum look " but I havent hit the " send " yet....

It says that a lot of people have stopped coming here - seems to be a lot of people " missing " and if the regulars stop coming can you imagine how quick a " new person " will stop bothering ? Ok..hitting " send " now.....

Even adding in the JU 'add ons' still doesn't come anywhere near the activity of two years ago.Reply #58 Friday, June 23, 2006 6:51 PM

Curious... How do paid subscriptions fare compared to 2 years ago?
How about Product Sales in relation to Paid subscriptions comparison from 2 yrs ago and now?

Product sales are several times what they were 2 years ago.
Paid subscriptions are about double what they were 2 years ago.
Traffic to the site is 4 times what it was 2 years ago.
Simply put, the fact ther'es little activity in the forums speaks more about the forums than the popularity of the site.
The # of downloads skins get today is much higher too. Look at the downloads per day on a popular skin from 2 years ago and one from now. Top skins now get thousands of downloads PER DAY now. In the old days, only something like a really big name skin from a very popular author would get those kinds of downloads.
