Need someone to cut out a picture from white background.
Is this task really difficult?
Wednesday, May 10, 2006 by Firedogs Ron Son Jose | Discussion: Windows XP
I have given it my all using Picture-it, MGI Photo Suite, and Paint to cut away a fire vehicle from the white background. The white is just too blinding on these old eyes. If anyone with this God given talent can do this it would be greatly appreciated; can send the picture.

Is Master Apprentice Po' Smedley missing in action?

To backtrack a bit...
I can email you the cutouts, but png or possibly bmp is the only way to get the transparent background, otherwise you would have a white background and have to cut them out again. I can send you them in psd format, but I don't know if Picture-it, MGI Photo Suite, or Paint could read them in that format.
I was gone for 2 weeks and limited in time I could spend on the PC and unfortunately I will be going out of town for at least another week. (Apparently, I am/was too good the last 2 weeks, they have decided to take advantage of my official position in the company being in flux and are sending me to clean up someone elses mess)
Let me know. I can always send them in each format...psd, png, bmp, jpg and you can see what you can do with them. I apologize for the delay.

Um, I suppose the best way to go is sending both png and bmp so they are transparent. Let me work with one or the other using Picture-it and if something goes bad we can consult when you return. If I am able to put this together, I will let you know. This is for an exhibit for a series of books "The Adventures of the Firedogs" hoped to become a cartoon series down the road and merchandising.

Thanks again...keep safe on the road!

open the one with the transparent background. then open one with the blue background.
use the magic wand to grab the vehicle in the transparent and copy it. then paste it onto the other as a new seletion.
when you paste a pic from on to the other, the tranparency disappears, that's why you have to 'grab' just the part you want to paste over.
I'm thinking Po' can come up with better instructions.
