Nicely done!

I use a battery meter as well as the cpu meter.

Very elegant.

For what it is worth . . . it would be ever-so-cool if the indicator staed in the middle of the meter and the scale moved (as if it were on a wheel.) That's what I thought it did at first glance. Man! I wish I had any kind of talent! I can picture it in my head, a little gradiant shadow on each end; a little gloss in the middle to make the wheel appear behind glass.

In any case, great meter as is. Thanks for sharing.

Very nice graphic, hex-socket head bolts on either side of the meter would give it a high tech loo (rather than the two little holes). I really like Zubaz comment on the static needle too, that would be great if you could just go ahead and do that.
Awesome.

I'm not usually impressed with meters but I must say that this is a great looking, smooth and functional piece. Great job.
I also think Zubaz's and Percula's suggestions would be the icing on the cake for this piece.

Percula,

Had planed to make a "panel" for the meters and add them to it with bolts/screws etc. Just have been too bzy. I think i will look at that today.

As for the idea of the meter rotating i dont know how practical that would be as it takes a LOT of resources to move just the stupid needle. Moving the entire dial.. i dont know, it would keep the stupid cpu meter at 100% all the time. I need to look and see how the one weather widget was created that rotates and see if its even possible. Might be an idea. Just not sure how it would work, the way the other things i have seen work is they are animations, this would not work as it would have to move to fast back and forth. If someone has an idea on how to do this PLEASE email me: Gadget@Romanda.org

Thanks for the great comments all. I will be uploading a version with BOLTS and also a VERTICAL version of this as well.. probably on Monday.

Thanks

I'd really like to see the network monitor you mentioned.

Very well done as said before, I wish I could I had this kind of talent. BTW, a RAM meter (horizontal) would make my day.

Cool stuff. I am interested in a bandwidth meter, so I can see how slow my broadband is going.
