here's a thought for you ,if you like,take I beleive it's tab-launch pads functions
turn them into a lever, put it on the titlebar,and swing it to change between active windows,by showing the windows as you move it but keeping the first one active till you release it.
Might be to complicated,I have no idea.

When I click the button, dock hides, as expected. But when I mouseover to dock it, the button is missing.
