Yes. I tested it personally on Windows 10 Professional x64. All works great with UAC disabled.

I can't get it to run on 2 of my Win 8.1 machines. Do you need to have DesktopX installed?

I've never worked on Windows 8...
System Requirements:
1. Net Framework ........................... version 4.5 or higher
2. Windows Media Player ............ version 12.0 or higher
Installation: Disable User Account Control.
Did you see any error messages when you've tried to install or ran a program?

I have the requirements and UAC disabled. It installs fine, but when you run it nothing happens.
Edit: the LaunchBar works fine.

This is very strange... Looks like Chronos is incompatable with Windows 8... Let's try to solve your problem!
1. Please Uninstall --> Install again --> then Find ChronosDS.exe in the installed directory --> Right click on it and open Properties --> Compatiblity --> check Run this program in compatiblity mode for --> select Windows 7 SP1 (if any) and press Apply. Then run ChronosDS.exe.
2. Do you see ChronosDS.exe process in the Task Manager and Chronos Desktop Icon in the System Tray? If yes, try rigt click on the Icon. Do you see Main Menu? If yes, try to configure the Clock and restart Chronos Desktop.
If no, add an exclusion for Chronos Desktop in your antivirus/firewall programs (if any). Then try to run a program again. If you will not see any changes after that, I'm sorry. Seems this program will not work on your PC...

Sadly this won't work on my pc either (Windows 8). The rest of the stuff in this set work fine just can't get this to work. It installs but won't show up at all. Would've been nice to have the complete set like what you had in the Chronos WB page

This is not a good news but I really cannot help you. I've never used Windows 8 and I don't know why it blocks Chronos Desktop.
May be this is because Win 8 does not allow users to store data in the "C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\..." folder? If "yes", I can make an update which will save data here: "C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\..."
Anyway, I'm sorry...

I can't get it to change to my city for the weather, plus I don't like the fact you can't move the position. It's pretty though.

I love this and your Launchbar. Any chance of making Chronos Desktop work on larger screens. I have a 34" Asus Rog running at 3440 X 1440 resolution and I would love this to fit the screen instead of just in the middle of the screen. I can make it stretch or fill, but of course it then gets distorted and resets with each startup.

Please, open the help file in the installation directry (chronos.chm) and and look ath the Wather Informer chapter. You'll find the detailed instructions here.
About position. Sorry, but this is Animated Wallpaper. Can you move any other wallpapers on your desktop?

Everything runs for me, W10 pro 64-bit but I'm unable to drag the app window.
