desktop.ini - folder background

I'm using the followin in desktop.ini to set a wallpaper for a folder, the only problem is that it only works in some folders.

Attributes=1
IconArea_Image=c:\texture.bmp
IconArea_Text=0x00000000


Can anyone explain why, and if it can be fixed?

hm.. I'm not sure if I remmeber right but I think the System attribute for the folder has to be set. That you can't do from the Explorer interface. You can get other pgroams to tweak this attribute or set it in using the Console.

But I havent set the system attribute on any f the files, and some of them work, but some dont.

The desktop.ini customizing I know of set the desktop.ini file's Hidden and System attributes (attrib +s +h filename), and the folder's system attribute (attrib +s foldername) - though I don't do enough of that type of customizing - mostly registry hacks.

I hope it's ok I pasted it here....

Copy this crap to your desktop.ini file inside the folder you want to add teh background to, you have to use the address bar to get to it, it's hidden.

IconFile=put your icon dealie here, look below
IconIndex=0

IconArea_Image=put the path to your image here if it is in this folder or any of it's subfolders go like this: 'gabuin.bmp' or 'subfolder\gabuin.bmp' no 's though. and it doesn't have to be a bmp.

Ive got most things working now, (although i copied over some desktiop.ini's that windows needs, so i couldnt install new fonts for a while
Deoes anyone know if i can make the background image not scroll?
