I have actually done some studies on this... The color blue often has connotations of calmness, oceans and serenity. It is both pleasing to the eye and offers a technical 'edge.' As the optical wavelength of blue goes, it tends to not distract while allowing productivity. I too must admit falling into the blue-gray trap myself. Hey, it works for me...

I agree with reboot. Blue is calming and overall a very pleasant colour. I like to try a colourful skin ever now and then, but I always come back to something that's blue or at the very least bluish. I also like silver (WinXP silver flavour that is).

Blue is one of my favourite colours, but so is green. I'd love to see more skins in green - especially nice forest greens, nice nature greens, not those tacky lime greens that seem to be so popular for clothes these days.

How about making this skin in a nice green?

CayLynn, look for liquilite. That's the original version of this skin. It's sort of a teal/green. But if you want some really good green skins look for stuff done by Koasati, usually over at deviantart.com. or http://www.koasati.net .

Nicely done. Beautiful and simple. Its like blue glass in a silver setting.

But now this one is monocolor? (overmore; I call this cyan). Try dark purplisch blue with limey yellow.

Can you make one in red plz?

i think people like blue is that it helps to remind people it isnt food, and helps to prevent all those embasing attemtps to eat the windows and monitor

I like blue simply because it seems fitting for a usable gui... or perhapse it's just because Microsoft has brainwashed us to think that LOL

@ the end of the day, dosent matter what people like, do things to please yourself, if u want a sky blue pink with yellow dots on skin, then make one of them, and when they say cant you make it in blue, say, if i could have made it in blue, it would have been blue, lol

I think the preference for blue is due to Apple's use of a certain blue/aqua named after a famous beach; who's waters are a distinctive shade of blue. The color is registered, and people want a color that's similar to it.
