I knew it wasn't the best photo but I have been trying for years to capture the sky when those sun rays are shooting through the clouds! That part is very real. Perhaps I can get a better shot in the future,

The graininess does affect very much. If I stare at the horizon line it doesn't seem to match really. Sorry to be so frank, no pun intended. I just shot some clouds also with my camera and I got the same effect on two of them. It is still much better than some we see here lately.
