mr. adni18's cyberskin is by far the most purdiest thing i've ever seen and wanted on my desktop...but, to my dismay, i've found that my computer has the same problem as wvdan20, paseogrl, and everyone else.

is anyone using xp-pro? i am, and i'm kinda thinkin that's why it doesn't work. of course, i could always be wrong. very, very wrong. but it's a guess, nonetheless.
makes me wanna cry, since it doesn't work on my PC.

i was very, very wrong.
xp-pro has nothing to do with this.i believe i've found an alternative way to effectively install the suite onto the desktop...
you know when you're using ThemeManager to apply the suite, and while it's downloading from WindowBlinds, CursorXP, and the like? i'm not sure why it doesn't work, but what i did instead was manually download and install each individual component (the wallpaper, the skins, the logon, and the windowblinds).
just make a note of which components you'll need to download, as well as where they can be located at this site (like WindowBlinds, Skins, etc.), look up 'Cyberskin' from this site's search engine, download (or follow the links to the specific download pages), and voila! pretty blue stuff at your fingertips.

if you've got windows xp, as soon as you've downloaded, a little notification balloon will pop-up in the lower-right corner, telling you that you've just downloaded whatever it was, and it will give you the option of installing it by clicking the balloon.
i know it's a little bit of work
, but if you appreciate the blue, then you'll have it on your desktop in no time.sincerely,
Rin83

p.s.- by the way, i could kiss you right now, adni18, if you were currently anywhere within the vicinity of my abode. but seeing as you're not, i'll just say 'thanks much for making such a great looking suite.'

Greetings, Nikos, after too long a time! RE: Theme Mgr, I also have had many problems with Theme Mgr, and as a result have stopped using it.
As it seems to work well for many people, the problem is quite probably something to do with my setup here. I have the exact frustrations
as described above, and the solution for me has been just as Rin83 has provided. BTW I'm running WIN XP Home, latest Obj Dsktop components, 320 RAM at avg. 30%, P III 700 MHz, Compaq 1800T laptop, DSL landline. It may be a bit extra work to set it all up, but adni's incomparable craft is easily worth it.
